Starting in Hill City, South Dakota and expanding into Spearfish, South Dakota, this bike shop has always been progressive in nature - looking forward for ways to better serve their customers and expand their reach. On moving into Spearfish, they joined forces to purchase the service station on the corner of Main and Grant streets in Spearfish. Not a lot of thought was put into the purchase as they were gung ho and, as they said, "rammed the idea to fruition." After yanking out the gas tanks from the filling station and getting the car hoists pulled out of the service bays, Mike and Jesse began the remodel. Four months of long nights later Rushmore Mountain Sports and ALPINE Coffee were open for business. Alpine Coffee & crew were slinging coffees and grub, RMS & gang were fixing, selling bikes, winter sports gear and climbing equipment. A match made in heaven it has been said. Come in and check us out, we’ll be having fun and you’ll be first!
